The Dunes

Agnoli Barber & Brundage provided full engineering plans and utility design for The Dunes, multi-family high rise condominiums at the northwest corner of Bluebill Avenue and Vanderbilt Drive. The 188-acre property had a mix of environmental features, varying from high sandy uplands to saltwater mangrove wetlands and open water. The majority of the site was preserved with 133 acres of wetland vegetation, water and uplands kept in their natural state. The remaining developed area consisted of 594 condominium units and 40 villa homes with a community clubhouse, pool deck, cabanas and tennis courts. ABB prepared preliminary site plans, temporary sales center plans, lake excavation plans, potable water, sanitary sewer, site grading and drainage design. Permitting services were provided for Collier County Site Development, South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and other agencies. Off-site improvements included turn lane and intersection design on Vanderbilt Drive, pedestrian pathways along Vanderbilt Drive and Bluebill Avenue, and a public beach parking area and Connor’s Park pathways and amenities.
