Picayune

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) issued a Design-Build construction project for the Picayune StrandRehabilitation. The Design-Build project is to provide hydraulic connectivity

through the addition of new culverts under or adjacent to existing US Route 41(US41) and existing County Road 92 (CR92/San Marco Dr.) in Collier County. 

 

The services for this project included survey, geotechnical investigations, design, maintenance of traffic, demolition, construction, and restoration for a contract amount of $8,089,000.00.

Douglas N. Higgins, Inc. as the Design-Build Firm contracted with ABB for the following services:

Services Provided

• Surveying and Mapping – pre and post construction and as-builts.

• Design and Analysis – construction plans for permitting and construction.

• Minor Highway Design & Signing, Pavement Marking & Channelization

• Permitting – USACOE dredge and Fill, SFWMD Dewatering, Collier County Right of Way and FDOT Right of way permits.

• Construction/Post Construction – record drawings at each stage.
